AMD Makes World Record 8.4GHz CPU Clock Speed

The fastest CPU in the world record was performed just a block away and on the opening day of the Intel Developer Forum in San Fransisco.
The yet to be released FX processor code-named Zambezi are set to hit stores later this year. Like the rest of the FX line of processors these new processors will come unlocked, allowing computer enthusiasts to easily overclock to speed well above the manufactured specification but probably not close to the 8.429GHz AMD was able to achieve with highly specialized cooling methods.
