HP Manufacturing More TouchPad WebOS Tablets For $99 Bucks?

If you weren't one of the lucky (or unlucky ones depending on how you look at it) to get an HP TouchPad for the low price of $99, you may still have a chance. HP announced today that it would be manufacturing more TouchPads in response to the high demand for their tablet computer since dropping the price to $99.

The price drop to $99 for the 16GB tablet and $149 for the 32GB tablet came after HP announced that they would be discontinuing the TouchPads and no longer support WebOS. The drastic price cuts enabled consumers to buy the devices at unheard of pricing.

"Despite announcing an end to manufacturing webOS hardware, we have decided to produce one last run of TouchPads to meet unfulfilled demand. We dont know exactly when these units will be available or how many well get, and we cant promise well have enough for everyone. We do know that it will be at least a few weeks before you can purchase." said Mark Budgell from HP.

It's not currently known if the newly manufacture tablets will be available at retailers or only through HP's web site and it's also not known of the pricing but we could assume the same low prices if they are looking to sell inventory quickly.
